- ➤ American Legion Post 518 will honor Medal of Honor recipient Pfc. Richard E. Kraus by flying a flag in March as part of the Vet of the Month tribute. Members will gather indoors at 10 a.m. March 7 (256 Belgrade Ave.) to begin the ceremony. Mankato Free Press
- ➤ At the Saturday fix-it clinic at Mankato Makerspace, volunteers fixed cherished items like Dianna Heinze’s Baby Alive—loved by her daughters—while about 15 locals got repair help; the next clinic is scheduled for March 21 from 1-4 p.m. Mankato Free Press

- ➤ Three family history workbooks from MSU were donated to the Blue Earth County Historical Society, enriching local archives for descendants researching early settler families (Gilman, Bailey, Coad, and Johnson).
