CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Ribfest will move from Riverfront Park to Civic Center Plaza on Aug. 7 and 8 due to local construction delays, and the two-day event will now focus on local food and bands instead of national headliners. KEYC
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ MSU held a discussion on Tuesday afternoon about feminism & trans rights during Women’s History Month. Liz Steinborn-Gourley and Zeke Sorenson explained how past civil rights efforts can shape today's advocacy while other local events continue the month-long celebration. Mankato Free Press
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A Minnesota Department of Health study led by Teri Fritsma found that 14% of hospital nurses reported burnout from high workloads and low support as the workforce grew from 121,000 in 2024 to 151,000 in 2025. The study recommends reducing caseloads and improving communication to help retain nurses. KEYC

- ➤ The Mankato West boys hockey team will face Delano in the Class A state tournament today at 6:00 p.m. (the game is held at the Grand Casino Arena). KEYC
- ➤ Loyola boys basketball defeated Lester Prairie in the Section 2A tournament on Tuesday + will face Springfield at Sibley East on Thursday. KEYC
