BUSINESS NEWS

  • Voyager Cannabis Co.—one of the city’s newest cannabis stores—has seen growing business since its November opening as customers seek high-potency edibles and concentrates. Assistant Manager Rebecka Fregoso said delays in state-approved manufacturing may slow product availability, but more stock is expected in the coming months.  Mankato Free Press

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • North Mankato declared a snow emergency effective at 6:00 p.m. today as a historic winter storm is expected to bring heavy snow and strong winds. Residents must remove vehicles from city streets before snowfall begins and can park again at 12:00 p.m. Monday + parking is offered in city lots.  Mankato Free Press
  • Riverfront Drive will close for about three weeks starting March 25 to let crews remove the Veterans Memorial Bridge deck; motorists will detour via Plum, Second, and Main while the Veterans Memorial Bridge and Highway 169/Belgrade interchange remain closed until late 2026 (with wrap-up work expected in 2027).  Mankato Free Press

  • Minnesota State men’s hockey beat Michigan Tech by 7 to 2 in the CCHA semifinals on Saturday night; the Mavericks will host St. Thomas next Friday at 7 for the Mason Cup title and a shot at an NCAA Tournament bid.  KEYC
