ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The weekend's storm left more than 700 vehicles off the road statewide, with Mankato reporting 66 vehicles and three jack-knifed semis cleared by state patrol—North Mankato’s snow emergency also towed 22 cars to keep streets clear. KEYC
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City officials raised snow emergency tow fees after Monday night’s towing, costing owners $200 with cash or $207 cash-or-card plus a $25 citation. The new rates, aimed at offsetting rising costs, triple charges from 12 years ago and help clear streets faster. Mankato Free Press

Free Oral Cancer Screenings in Mankato & Rochester
In honor of Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month, Southeastern Minnesota Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery will offer free oral cancer screenings on April 16 from 2 pm to 4 pm at: 2519 Commerce Drive NW, Suite 110, Rochester, Minn., 55901; and 1410 Madison Avenue, Mankato, Minn., 56001. To participate, arrive at one of the clinics during the designated times and ask for a free cancer screening.
