- ➤ Mankato high school senior Addy Frank raised over $400 + collected more than 400 donated items for unhoused people and their pets after touring the Salvation Army, which lets people keep their pets as they transition back into a home. KEYC

- ➤ The Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota received a $250K grant from the CenterPoint Energy Foundation to create its new exhibit 'Pollinators at Play'—featuring an expanded Butterfly House, Butterfly Nursery, Outdoor Classroom and over 20,000 square feet of Native Prairie Gardens—that will open on June 12 at 10 a.m. The exhibit will offer pollinator-themed programs including summer camps and a Monarch Tagging Event. - ➤ Mankato State officials announced Monday that an international student was detained by ICE over the weekend at an off campus residence, and ICE has not provided more details. President Edward Inch said he contacted elected officials to support international students and preserve the campus community. FOX 9

- ➤ Farmers must enroll in the USDA Agriculture Risk Coverage — Price Loss Coverage programs for the 2025 crop year by April 15 to secure financial protection when crop revenue drops. More than 89,000 contracts have been completed, representing 84 percent of expected enrollments, and local FSA offices urge remaining producers to sign up as soon as possible. KEYC
- ➤ On Friday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained a Minnesota State University student at an off-campus residence, the university president said. President Edward Inch emailed on Monday to report that ICE offered no reason for the detention and that he has contacted elected officials for help. Mankato Free Press
