  • Mankato Regional Airport is set to build a new air traffic control tower as design work is expected to finish by December & construction will start early next year to meet the FAA deadline of April 19. City officials say most promised federal funding has not been received, which may force a pause in progress until the funds arrive.  Mankato Free Press

  • Investors behind a $93 million two-hotel complex that broke ground plan to reveal more downtown Mankato redevelopment details later this spring. They are working with city staff on a city center plan — which includes a fifth hotel near the historic post office — with construction on some projects set to begin in 2026.  Mankato Free Press
