- ➤ Mankato City Manager Susan Arntz said at Monday’s council meeting that a proposed 3.1% cut to government aid will cost the city $263,880—equaling loss of salaries for public works, airport, and emergency services—and result in a 1.1% tax increase as lawmakers work to finalize budget bills by May 19.
