- ➤ Mankato police confirm that Brooklyn Skye Fisher, 16, who was reported missing earlier this week, has been found in Rochester with the help of Rochester police returning her to Mankato. Mankato Free Press
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Minnesota State University officials say Armstrong Hall must be replaced after its $121 million bond request was left unfunded. President Edward Inch said they will meet with legislators in Mankato soon to discuss plans for accommodating 4,000 students and 200 staff. Mankato Free Press
- ➤ On Wednesday, the Minnesota State system announced a 6.37% tuition increase at MSU due to rising wages and reduced state funding; President Inch said funds now cover 33% of costs (future budget plans will address rising expenses). Mankato Free Press
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Local services will have reduced hours Monday for Memorial Day. The Mankato and North Mankato post offices, libraries, city buses, and other government offices will not operate at usual times — residents should check with individual services for updates. Mankato Free Press
