- ➤ The Nicollet County Historical Society offers guided tours at the Treaty Site History Center for the 1851 Treaty of Traverse des Sioux. Tours run June 9, 27, July 21, 25, and August 4, 22 at $5 per person with 20 spots available, free for members. MankatoLIFE
- ➤ Twin Rivers Council for the Arts is launching CityArt in the Alley (a four-event summer series) starting Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the alley behind NaKato Bar & Grill to bring interactive art, live music, and hands-on workshops to Lower North Mankato during the Belgrade Avenue reconstruction. - ➤ Blue Earth County Board held a work session Tuesday to review plans for removing the Rapidan Dam, detailing three restoration alternatives. County officials expect to complete the design phase within 18 months and estimated project costs range ($37 million to $53 million). Mankato Free Press
- ➤ MnDOT crews will repair storm damage on the Veterans Memorial Bridge in North Mankato over the next week following a delay from Memorial Day weekend — additional details about the damage will be provided soon. KEYC
