- ➤ MRCI honored Hosanna Lutheran Church with a Community Impact Award for Outstanding Partnership and Support for hosting weekly day services where clients learn through crafts, exercise classes and cooking sessions since January 2021—activities that support independence and community engagement. - ➤ A St. James woman, Tawnia Kae Jacob, 39, was convicted on two counts of criminal vehicular operation causing great bodily harm after a meth-related crash on Aug. 31 near Butterfield that injured two people and led to meth found at the scene — she was sentenced on June 17 in Watonwan County District Court to 23 months in prison stayed for five years, 90 days in jail with six days credited and five years of supervised probation with 40 hours of community service —. - ➤ Guldan Family Farms, a longtime local staple, said that timely rain and steady heat have improved planting conditions this summer — local growers who faced tough years remain hopeful as they count on strong community support at market days. KEYC
