- ➤ Twin Rivers Council for the Arts’ Writers Series and North Mankato Taylor Library will host acclaimed Minnesota-born author J. Ryan Stradal on Tuesday, October 7 from 5:30—7:30 p.m. at the Spring Lake Park Warming House in North Mankato, where he will discuss his New York Times bestselling debut Kitchens of the Great Midwest as part of the Community Read initiative that followed the distribution of 250 free copies earlier this month. - ➤ MSU's food pantry at Carkoski Commons serves about 500 students a week and must move soon because needed repairs may lead to demolition.
