- ➤ Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union employees volunteered on Plus It Forward Day in North Mankato by assembling food bags for students during the MEA break and supporting Feeding Our Communities Partners — where a $10,000 grant boosted efforts and 701 meals were packed — while also sharing a potluck afterward. - ➤ Veterans for Peace returned today in Mankato for their annual reconciliation and remembrance ceremony for Indigenous People's Day with about twenty community members including Dakota member Chris Two Bear joining a 38-minute procession (each minute marked by a drum hit and bell ring) to honor the 38 executed in 1862.
