  • Blue Earth County Historical Society is hosting flashlight tours at the 1871 R.D. Hubbard House this Halloween season—tours are scheduled for Saturday and Nov 1 at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., with a special edition on Oct 31 that costs $25 with reservations required. It has also launched a history book club reading The Things They Carried with meetings on Nov 15 at 11 a.m. and Dec 20 at 11 a.m. where a $50 fee covers a paperback copy and a guest presentation.  Mankato Free Press
