Writing Workshop: Persona Poems

About this event

“Don’t write what you know; write who you aren’t”. -Rebecca Hazelton, Poetry Foundation. Step into someone else’s shoes in this poetry workshop with Deb. Discover persona poems, which invite writers to speak from a perspective beyond their own. Study engaging examples and follow guided writing exercises to practice seeing the world through the eyes of a relative, fictional character, historical figure, animal or inanimate object. Come ready to experiment and give a new voice a chance to speak.
