- ➤ The Blue Earth County Historical Society is facing a 10% county funding cut that forced elimination of one full-time position amid federal shifts, said executive director Jessica Potter at an MPR forum (at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center). - ➤ KEYC & Gray Media launched the Star-Spangled Sing-Off contest on May 1, inviting Americans to submit acapella renditions of national anthem for a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Nashville; entries close May 31 and the winner will be announced July 2 as part of America’s 250th birthday celebrations.
