- ➤ Blue Earth County officials plan to study a new tornado siren system this fall that uses a high-tech polygon to sound alerts only in areas under a tornado warning—evaluating 49 sirens owned by the county and local towns. - ➤ Mankato City Council approved the fourth phase of the Partnership Community Land Trust which will add 12 new construction homes to bring the total to 23 affordable properties, with buyers able to purchase a home by summer 2026.
