Good morning, Mankato.

MSU has launched a fundraising campaign for a $60 million sports and events stadium on campus as part of its Future State plan; the stadium will seat 6,500 (expandable to 12,000 for concerts and championships) and is set to open in 2029 once additional donation agreements are finalized.

Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership closed on the 90-acre Our Lady of Good Counsel campus and will begin redevelopment, including opening a 100-year-old chapel and event spaces by summer and breaking ground on Good Counsel Meadows (a project for affordable housing) next summer.

The Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership finalized its purchase of the historic Good Counsel campus, preserving the century-old chapel for events and planning to convert dorms into 120 working-class apartments.

Renovation bids will be put out this spring and the main building will host local nonprofits (design work is underway).
